Welcome to Episode 7.
This is a free, story-driven online escape game where every puzzle unlocks the next chapter of the adventure.
Good luck!
With the planet behind you and a working hyperdrive at last, Doug turns to you. “Alright. Let’s get you home.”
He brings up the navigation screen, then pauses. “We should probably avoid the spaceport.”
“Because that’s where you stole the first ship?”
“Exactly.”
Doug pulls up a map of your home planet. There are several quieter places to land outside the city, but the information identifying the one you need appears as a message made of dots and dashes.
“See if you can make sense of that,” Doug says. “I’ll get us moving.”
You look at the sequence on the screen.
Dot. Dash. Dash. Dot.
Which color landing pad is safe?
With the landing spot identified, Doug enters the coordinates into the navigation system.
A short time later, the ship drops out of hyperdrive. Your home planet fills the windshield, and Doug begins the descent.
As you enter the atmosphere, a notification appears on the console.
AUTOMATIC ARRIVAL MESSAGE QUEUED.
"We definitely don't want the spaceport hearing from us," Doug says.
A panel of nine lights activates beside the notification. To cancel the message, you'll need to repeat the shutdown sequence.
ARRIVAL SYSTEM / AUTOMATIC MESSAGE QUEUED
Stop the transmission
Watch the lights, then press them in the same order. Each round adds one light. A mistake restarts the sequence.
Press Start to see the first light.
Use the buttons or number keys 1–9. There is no time limit.
The automatic arrival message has been cancelled. You can bring the ship down quietly.
The panel confirms that the message has been cancelled. Doug guides the ship down to the landing spot, well away from the main spaceport.
Once the ship is safely parked, you both make your way back toward The Starlight Lounge.
"One last drink before I go?" Doug asks.
Inside, you find a table and pick up the familiar menu.
"After all that space travel, I'd really like something with Asteroid Root in it," Doug says.
"Any berries?" you ask.
"Absolutely no berries in the drink."
You get up and walk to the counter to place his order.
What drink should you get for Doug?
Just before you walk away from the counter, you hear a familiar voice.
"So you disappear for a month, then walk back in here for a drink?"
Your boss is standing beside you.
"You're fired."
You look around at the tables you used to clean and the floor you used to mop. A month ago, losing this job would have felt like a disaster.
"Fine by me."
Doug glances over from the table.
"Does that mean you're free for another trip?"
You collect the drinks and join him.
"Where are we going?" you ask.
Doug smiles.
"We'll figure that out on the way."
You finish your drinks, leave the payment, and head back toward the ship.
A short walk later, you're back aboard. Doug takes the controls, and the city falls away beneath you.
This time, you don't ask him to take you home.
