Good luck!

The ship settles into a smooth cruise as the space station disappears into the distance.

Doug leans back in the pilot's seat with a smile.

“So... first trip off the station. What do you think?”

Before you have a chance to answer, a loud alarm suddenly echoes through the cockpit.

WARNING: UNKNOWN VESSEL DETECTED MORE THAN 10 MILES AWAY

The smile immediately disappears from Doug's face.

“Oh... that's not good.”

“What is it?”

Doug quickly pulls up the ship's radar.

“It looks like we've got company.”

A few moments later, another warning flashes across the screen.

WARNING: PURSUIT VESSEL NOW WITHIN 10 MILES

Doug studies both radar scans before looking over at you.

“The sensors are picking up several nearby ships, but only one moved from more than 10 miles away to within 10 miles. Help me figure out which contact is closing in.”

Two radar scans showing several nearby objects

Which object is the incoming ship?

Doug stares at the radar as the pursuing ship continues to close the distance.

“They're gaining on us.”

He looks out the front window before pointing toward a cluster of planets ahead.

“Perfect.”

You glance at him.

“Perfect?”

Doug grins.

“That planetary system is surrounded by a dense asteroid field. If we weave through it and use each planet's gravity to slingshot us toward the next one, they'll have a much harder time keeping up.”

He quickly brings up the ship's navigation computer.

“The flight computer can plot the route, but we'll need to choose the correct sequence of planets. One wrong turn and we'll end up right in the middle of the asteroid field.”
“Help me chart a safe course.”

What is the correct sequence of planets?

The ship bursts out of the asteroid field, but Doug's smile quickly fades as he checks the radar.

“They're still behind us.”

He immediately reaches for the hyperdrive controls and pulls the lever.

Nothing.

WARNING: INSUFFICIENT POWER FOR HYPERDRIVE

Doug opens the power management panel.

“The asteroid field must've knocked the power distribution offline. We need to reroute exactly 50 units of power to the hyperdrive.”

He points to the power cells.

“Too little power and the jump will fail. Too much and we'll overload the hyperdrive. Help me find the right combination before they catch us.”
